tomorrow
every leaf
on every tree
will rise up
and revolt!
against the solid bronze
bolt!

because today
it gave them
a teriffic jolt!
when the bird
that carried it
had feathers
that began to
molt!
all at once
in mid air
which made
the bird
drop the bolt!
from sixteen thousand feet straight down
to a large thich hunk of steel
making a sound that could wake up
an orange peel.
